As a little girl you dream of your wedding and getting married in a castle to a prince. Well, I had the prince and just needed a castle. Dalhousie Castle was far greater than what I had imagined for the backdrop of the perfect wedding. Everything exceeded my expectations...the beauty, the graciousness of your staff, and of course, Rev. Schofield. What an amazing man! He was patient with us, well versed and his presentation was exceptionally moving, not only for us, but for our guests. Thank you for everything! Dear Natasha, Mark and I cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work with planning our wedding day. Every detail from the piper to the cake and the kilts turned out perfect, and Charlotte was absolutely a wonderful help on our big day. I can't say enough of how wonderful and outstanding your service was. I couldn't have asked for more. Everything was perfect. Even the sun came out for the days we were there. I am glad we chose the Western Isles Hotel. Its prime location and attention to service was outstanding. Being right in Tobermory was a plus and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a charming hotel with the best view in town. Sir Lachlan was a great host. The taxi driver is a great man and the ride was fun, both ways. Having Lesley there was a huge help since I didn't have to worry about anything. Our wedding day was the best day of my life, and you made all the preparations stress-free. The wedding day was our day and not having to worry about the little details and being able to enjoy every second was all I could have asked for. Dear Janis, Lesley and all the staff at HCW! We want to thank you for making our dream wedding come true! From the minute we arrived at our wonderful hotel we felt really welcome, and the staff at the Sheraton made sure we did not lack any kind of comfort during our stay. Opening the doors to our suite and finding the gift basket from HCW really got the week of to a great start, and reassured us that we had made the right decision in choosing HCW as our wedding planners! We would also like to say a few words in Spanish (for your Web site, because the Spanish have called us asking for information on our Scottish wedding): No hay palabras para describir un sueño hecho realidad, y todo es gracias al equipo de Highland Country Weddings -HCW- (Barbara, Natasha, Jackie … ) por estar con nosotros en esta aventura tan romántica que culminó en la celebración de la gran boda escocesa que bautizamos con el cariñoso nombre de McBoda. Mil gracias desde nuestros corazones. Nunca podremos olvidar este día, y tampoco este aventurero viaje, donde la exquisitez y la profesionalidad de HCW estuvo presente en todo momento. El magnífico, maravilloso, impresionante (nos faltan palabras de alabanza) entorno de magia y seducción que envuelve las Tierras Altas Escocesas, así como el Castillo Eilean Donan convirtió la noche en algo muy especial, lleno de encanto y glamur; fue una noche mágica tanto para los novios como para los invitados. Instando un rápido repaso de esta boda tan especial para nosotros, fueron algo más de medio centenar de invitados dispuestos a seguirnos hasta el fin del mundo y con mucha ilusión en esta hazaña. La elección del castillo fue su imponente belleza enclavada en uno de los lagos escoceses con un entorno natural privilegiado, Eilean Donan Castle es el castillo más fotografiado de Escocia y donde se han rodado un buen número de películas (entre otras "Los Inmortales"); enclavado en la zona más bella de las Highland (Tierras Altas) siendo éste uno de los lugares existentes en el planeta donde se da un marco idóneo para realizar una boda de ensueño. The wedding was magical. We loved the castle, the grounds, and having our closest friends and family to share this special week-end with us was incredible. The flowers and color scheme were right on what we were envisioning: I absolutely loved my bouquet!! Everybody had a lot of fun with Tony to make a great set of pictures where everyone was always laughing! There were some tears as well as the ceremony was beautiful and very emotional for all of us, including Lesley! And the food was delicious! All of the help and support you gave us prior to the wedding (including the visa fiasco) was amazing, and we were both so grateful to have somehow found you online back in March. We really could not have wished for a more wonderful day, or better people to give us a wedding most people only can dream of. It was spectacular. Everyone at the Rufflets were equally as wonderful, particularly Sarah and the gentleman who mc'd the evening for us. At one particular moment (just before I walked outside down the aisle) I turned around to the Rufflets team and asked (jokingly) if I could do just a little shot of whisky before taking the plunge, to which they all literally were tripping over themselves to get one for me (and ask me what kind in particular I would like). I had to convince them that I was joking because they were insisting it would be no problem at all:). Wow. In any event we are extremely grateful for all you did for us, and hope you can extend our thanks to everyone who was involved at Highland Country Weddings. We are trying to come back to reality in New York, but it's really difficult.......I wish we could hop back on the plane and head back to Scotland to do it all over again:). Celeste and I would like to thank you again for the wonderful wedding we had. We were so happy with the Laird and Balgonie Castle, it really made our wedding special. Hi Natasha, You heard right, our wedding was absolutely amazing. We just got back from our honeymoon and we already had Tony's pictures in the mail. I can't choose a favorite, they're beautiful. Most of the landscape doesn't even look real because it is so amazing. I don't think we could have picked a better place - I'm not sure how we ever managed to leave. Our honeymoon was great, and we got to see many cities throughout Europe, but nothing compares to our time in Scotland. I don't even know if I can describe what I thought of everything. It was definitely more than I imagined. The castle was beautiful, the weather was beautiful, the Craigmonie Hotel was beautiful, and our cake was amazing. Everyone was super, went above and beyond, and our entire family had a wonderful time. At the reception, the food was excellent, and have you seen a picture of the cake? Wow! I didn't want to eat it, it was too pretty. I guess we'll just have to make plans to come back in the near future :) Thank you so much for all you've done, everything was perfect! Natasha, Well, we are on the train from Paris back to London on our way back to the states. I think I can speak for everyone in attendance at our recent event in giving you and HCW an A++ for your efforts. We just got back yesterday so it was really nice to get in and find the photos ready for us!! It really was a fantastic day and Lesley was wonderful, between tracking down lost in-laws (she has a future as a detective!!) and doing everything she could to keep people happy including running 20 miles to get cigarettes, I was very impressed. I'd obviously scared you guys with my micromanagement of the dining room decor, both Lesley and Amanda looked really relieved that I liked it looked perfect, they managed to create the elegant but warm atmosphere I wanted and I think everyone had a wonderful time, William and myself included. Dear Janis, Lewis and I want to thank you for helping us plan a day that we will never forget! We felt comfortable, relaxed, and prepared as we traveled from California to Inverness. The months of preparation, emails, and the like paved the way for a romantic, elegant, thoughtful, family-centric experience. Everything was exactly as we had imagined it to be, but better and absolutely memorable. We brought over 70 guests with us from all around the world and each and every one of them has remarked that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. The flowers were spectacular and the accommodation and service at Tulloch Castle put us over the moon! The folks at Tulloch ensured that everything was to our liking, they never rushed us or made us feel like we were on any sort of schedule. However, the night rolled along like clockwork and not a detail was missed. Chills ran up the spines of our guests as we were piped into the dining hall and greeted our guests as Mr. and Mrs. Wooler for the first time. Janis, you have a way of making everything seem possible and easing the worries of the bride with too much on her plate. You even helped us in moving our date and rescheduling everything with minimal fees. What could have been the most stressful day of my life was instead the most beautiful day of our lives. Dear Natasha, We had an absolutely spectacular wedding! Thank you very much for all of your assistance and thanks to Helen, to whom I never got the chance to say anything but hello because it all worked so smoothly! (My mom says she was lovely). The wedding was rather an event in Stonehaven. The tourist information asked several of our guests if they were there for the wedding and asked us how we liked Raemoir...I don't know who told them we were staying there. Hi Natasha, Calvin and I had an absolute amazing time. Our parents have commented time and time again that this was the most memorable wedding they have ever been to… …The flowers were gorgeous and better than I expected. I cannot say enough about. The service, food, room, ambiance, everything was top notch. I wish we could have spent more time there but we had a pretty ambitious itinerary. Doune castle was a lot of fun and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Andrew, the piper was great. He extended the official ceremony a bit with a few wonderful words when leading me into the room and when cutting the cake. We're so glad we had him! Laura and Anne for make-up and hair were stars ... not only in their fields of expertise, but also in calming down a very, very nervous bride ;-) The cake was lovely (both from the looks and the taste ;-). My mother actually brought a small piece home with her to share with some relatives. We were extremely lucky to have sunshine all day - and could therefore take full advantage of the beautiful castle grounds. The dinner in the evening was fantastic and delicious as well (the first time I had a "pre-dessert" in my life I think - It was actually a five course dinner). Hi Janis, It seems a very long time now since I last wrote to you and the torrent of emails that flowed in both directions prior to the wedding!
